shifting?

actually, i've half shifted to livejournal. so there're newer posts there. i don't know if i will still update here. so just check my livejournal out if i don't update here. well, if anyone actually bothers to come here in the first place!

STUPID BIG COMPANY

ytd pok called me up in the wee hours of the morning (ok, it was around 9?) and said there was a company that really really needed people, so ask if i'm interested to go. so i thought, since i'm free anyway, why not?

so we went, and was a little late, since it was an area which we went for the first time. when we reached the floor level that we were supposed to go, we were invited by something pretty shocking. A REALLY REALLY FAMOUS BRAND COMPANY OMG. Like, the previous companies that we worked in were like, those kind that we first time hear before that kind (pardon the broken english) and this one was REALLY REALLY FAMOUS. EVERYONE KNOWS IT. SERIOUSLY. so then me and pok were like, o-m-g...

we were supposed to do telemarketing.

well first of all, this is the legend that i will be using throughout this post:
-the Agent: the person who got us the job
-ABC: the person who got us to work there
-DEF: the person whom i share the telephone with
-GHI: the person who was a higher ranking person
-JKL: the person who gives us money

okay so anyway, the first day was boring and nothing much happened except the shocking culture of the workplace. the place is a MESS i tell you. BIG BRAND, LOUSY HOUSEKEEPING. TOTAL MESS. boxes and stuff are EVERYWHERE!!! also, the culture there is appalling. the people there SCREAM AND SHOUT and are sacarsic to everyone else ranking lower than them for every little reason! take for example DEF, the lady whom i share the phone with. i DON'T remember a single time when she was on the phone that she WASN'T SHOUTING. and with every call, she slams the phone down. horrigible lah! and ABC was a little sacarstic when teaching me to correct the way i give information to the customers. but that was okay since it wasn't such a big deal anyway. i guess it was my fault since i was inexperienced and all.

the second day (which, is also my last, btw. I QUIT) was HORRIBLE. GHI, who was a really nice and friendly person who taught us many things and attended to our questions, came over and asked us how the RSVP was going on. Pok had around 2 responses at that moment and i had, like, 10 i guess? and we just finished lunch at that time and DEF was using my phone (screaming at her colleague as usual) and pok's phone was being used by some other person which i wasn't very sure who the heck she was anyway. and i was showing pok my japanese notebook at that moment and we only just started looking at it when GHI came around. so GHI was teaching us to be more aggresive to the customers so that more of them will join in, and she also mentioned that she is paying a lot of money to get us to do this work. we were really grateful for her advice, because somehow after that, i really got more people to join in.

THEN, about an hour later, ABC came over and wrote down JKL's name and hp number, saying, ok i want you to call JKL, this is his number. so i asked very innoncently, uhhhh call him for what? and she used that irritating sacarstic voice, and said, call him for WHAT? you all should know BETTER than ME. (i was like, huhhhhhh?) so i thought, oh maybe because we didn't perform well enough? so anyway, since DEF was using my phone to scream and shout again, she used pok's phone to call JKL and asked pok to listen. JKL like SCOLDED us, saying we read magazines after lunchtime and SLACKED off our work! like, WTF can.

hey, idiots, I did my work at such speed and with minimal rest and my throat is like HOARSE and DRY and everything and you can say something like THIS?

well, we pretty much figured that it was the friendly backstabber GHI who did us such injustice.

then both ABC and JKL were commanding us to get 50 responses EACH. go hell la, you think very easy meh, you do yourself la! give you 2 hours OT also cannot reach that quota lor!

such stupid people luh. firstly, we were NOT slacking. it was just that both our phones were being used at that time, so what do you expect us to do? call using our handphones meh?! PLUS WE WERE NOT READING MAGAZINES, we were lookin at a notebook. FOR heaven's SAKE. they cannot even differentiate between a notebook and a magazine! OMFG!

so we put on our best chirpy voices (with much to complain about, anyway) and at the end of the day i managed 37 and pok managed 17. ( am i super productive or what? haha.)

then when we got out of that wretched place we called the Agent and said we QUIT. the Agent was like, oh i was about to message you; they say both of you kana boss complain read magazine after lunch. (WHAT!!!!!!!)

WALAU EH. haiz. oh wells. the thing's over anyway. i won't be seeing this bunch of freaks anymore. ( well when we go out to the society (like what my father always quotes) we will confirm meet a lot of this kind of people but at least for a few years we won't see them i guess)

japanese elementary 1 course. COMPLETE!

so, yeah. today was the last lesson (which included the exam) and GUESS WHAT! your linguistically talented friend, jocelyn, got 8/10 for the oral part and 100/100 for the written test! it's time to celebrate!

nah, just kidding. i'm i really was linguistically talented, i wouldn't have gotten that C for my GP.

still considering whether or not to take up elementary 2. it starts in july. which means it will cross over to my uni days. IF i get into uni, that is. see how first lar.

jobless once again

i'm jobless once again. contract ended

everyone got their uni offer letters except me. i had to go for this really stupid discretionary admissions interview which was an epic phail. but i felt that there were a couple of questions which i answered pretty well. ah. i shall stop speculating and see what comes my way. surely things will turn out fine(?)

june i'm going to taiwan for 3 weeks! yahoo! if i get my offer letters, it'll be YAHOO!!!!!!!! a happy trip! if i don't, then the trip will be a solemn one. we'll be going just because we paid for the tickets, and nobody will be enjoying the trip.

offer letters, PLEASE COME!!!!!!!!! i BEG you!

more on work and an arashi pic

Jap class is getting troublesome to keep up with! but i will try my best.

Work is getting boring. Despite my efforts to chat up with people, i am STILL a loner. i'm pretty upset about that. Am i really that much a loser? Anways its only for half a month more and i can say byebye to that place. It really is a very nice place to work in, but i hate having no friends more, and anyway they already found a new person (not sure perm or temp) so yeah even if i wanted to stay, i can't. farewell it will be!

more on the country club

aw. ESTHER IS GONE!!! it was her last day yesterday. sad sad. i only knew yesterday. a bit sad lar. we ate western food at the country club (THERE'S WESTERN FOOD!!!) with the new girl! new girl! haha! She's about my age and her name is Joyce. i tried talking to her but somehow no topic leh. i think i'm a loser at socialising. sigh. i shall remain friendless. there's only half a month more to go anyway! hawhaw. but she remembers my name though. hawhaw.

i was supposed to meet hannah and xinyuan for dinner at jurong point last friday and hannah puled out LAST MINUTE. it wasn't very pleasant, but whatever.

MAY PLEASE COME EARLIER! i wanna have steam boat with ah pok, ahwei, and ahnia! and debbie too! if can, the more the merrier! lao yang can come also! so can yeeting! i dunno la whoever knows everyone in the above list should come if they can! steamboat is funner with morer people! hahahahaha.

got 麻辣 you know? SHIOK.

the japanese classes are getting kind of tough! so much to remember and so little time! this saturday will be my 5th lesson already. there's this girl there who went alone (all the others came in pairs) and she's quite nice. and she's pretty and cool and her jap is quite good too since she said she has gone for elementary classes before. not very sure what her name is but she says we can call her eva. the teacher is very funny too! that's why i kind of like jap class. hahaha!

work is slightly busier now so i'm not all that xian anymore. i do like my job but i wish i had friends. sobsob.

まいにちCOUNTRYCLUBへいくんです。

まいにちCOUNTRYCLUBへいくんです。I go to COUNTRYCLUB everyday.

yes, i go there EVERYDAY from monday to friday. but that's because i'm working there. i kind of liek this job cos its THAT much easier and THAT much slacker that instead of headaches and deadlines and stuff, i am actually constantly pestering them fo rmore work to do! and the pay is higher too! i've upgraded from 5.50 to 6 per hour and the job IS SO DAMN EASY. and the ppl here are damn friendly la! the staff i mean. the guy sitting behind me looks and behaves like Ishibashi from Utaban. and he's super helpful and super friendly too. too bad i'm an introvert so i can't mix with them. there's this training officer her name's esther and she is like really really nice and friendly to me too! she smiles at me and invites me to eat with them and asks for my name and stuff. something i didn't experience during my previous job in the HR dept at the ulu company.

the members there are crazy, one spending like over 5000 on golfing. come on la give me the money right. i can get myself a brand new piano, a proper laptop and a new mp3 player! things that are useful and can last! you ''buy'' the golf balls and whack them outta sight and THEN? its like throwing your money away lor. walau. get a life la! seriously, golfing is one of those sports which i just cannot make sense of.

AND! I AM FINALLY TAKING UP JAPANESE CLASSES! this is to inform the rest of the world who don't already know. there are 7 ways of saying "go" and 7 different conditions to use the 7 different forms. like. damn confusing. but its fun and i like it and i'm linguistically gifted anyway so it isnt any problem for me to master.

also i learn jap so that i can watch arashi videos online WITHOUT SUBTITLES. hooray!

haven't been drawing much lately. no 心情 anyway.

by the way i applied the following uni courses. i'l just list down the ones i remember. besides, it aint important cos i'll be put into enviro engineering anyway.

NUS: business, enviro eng, sci, arts, accounting, forgot

NTU: business, enviro eng, math, math & econs, edu(sci) *math and math&econs i forgot which is 3rd which is 4th

SMU: bloody hell i actually applied to smu. business, accountancy, econs, social sci, computing.

as you can see. it's definitely going to be enviro engineering. i hope laoyang and fronia and jiawei gets in too then we can form a mini 06s19 enviro eng group. then we'll make frens with the rest of the enviro eng ppl and expand our territory and then we'll eventually take over the whole of NUS. mwahaha.

hello!

HELLO!!! this is my new piece, it's called "mr. panda, do you know?" cute right? i tried to make it more watercolour-ish than CG. got ppl say it worked leh!!! haha.

then i changed the colour of the armchair to suit the colour scheme. i think it's nicer! XD

back from malaysia

i'm back! and it was pretty boring lah. malaysia. went cameron-genting-KL in four days five nights. pretty much to say so i'll just scan through cos anyway my internet time is limited.

first night was spent on the bus which was freaking cold! we only brought jackets and froze to death la. couldnt fall asleep. you try sleeping in snowcity with only a jacket to keep you warm! the feeling is about like that la.

then at cameron also darn cold. talk got fog coming out of your mouth (sometimes) and that is pretty cool cos it has never happened to me before! so you can imagine how freaking damn cold it was.

we went on the hotel tour around cameron. first went tea plantation then tea factory then butterfly farm and strawberry farm and rose farm.

the tea factory had such a concentrated tea smell that i was like PHEW! cannot breath. SMELLY LAH! really buay tahan. too strong liao the smell.

at strawberry farm we ate srawberry with whipped cream and I AM POSITIVE THAT THEY ARE NOT CLEAN. I'M SURE I SAW DEAD BUGS CLINGING AROUND THE STRAWBERRY TOPS. EEEEEEEEEEEW. my family like boh chap boh chap leh. i ask them IS THIS CLEAN~? they were like, yah, of COURSE. i think they forget we are not in singapore.

oh yah and the tour guide also told us japanese strawberries are sweeter than holland strawberries.

at butterfly farm, which is also a bug and reptile farm. the tour guide (name: Ibrahim) picked up every bug and reptile and butterfly that was not poisonous and STRONGLY encouraged us to hold them too! hair stand liao la i scared bugs you know. here are the memories of the brave me and the even braver father of mine.

balloon

okay i tried! but i sucked lah. this one i didn't take note of how much time i took to finish it. around 5? the sky was difficult. the EVERYTHING was difficult. lols.

dad and mum had a HUGE stifle. quarrel and scream at the top of their voices. i wonder how we are going to "enjoy" ourselves in malaysia now. waste of money.

btw the golden village interview went awfully wrong. i spoke like an ant lah! and the person kept asking me if i was a very introvert person etcetc. so yah. dun think i'll be getting the job anymore. this morning some private number called and my phone acted up again! the microphone failed me and the person on the other end couldn't hear what i was saying thus she hung up, never to call again. I AM PRETTY DAMN SURE IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH JOBS. there. i lost it AGAIN. so down on luck these days. XIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAN.

job interview offers, finally!

today recruit express (irvin) called and offered a job and said he'd send in my resume to them and if they pick me for interview he'll call me back.

then! golden village called me for interview tomorrow! i'm pretty nervous right now. because of a few things:
1) i have NEVER passed a single interview in the whole of my life!!! (although i've only ever attended two)
2) i am gg to m'sia for holiday on monday alll the way till friday! they won't be able to accept it lor. so even if i pass the interview (which i most probably won't) i WONT GET THE JOB!
3)it's my first job interview! the rest are sch interviews.
4)what abt irvin's job offer?

actually, i'd rather choose irvin's admin job offer. but what if i don't get it? then i HAVE to get myself another job right? so i need to go for the golden village one and PASS it. but then quitting after a few days of work is... mafan lah! and they will surely not happy. and some more, WHO SAYS I'D GET THE JOB, ANYWAY!!!

i am truly very confused now. my brain doesn't have so many gigabytes to process this situation.

ah well, chuan dai qiao tou zi ran zhi. (boat come bridge end naturally straight)

fronia and xinyi have all gotten their admin jobs already. jiawei has a job for helping out her aunt. now it's just ME. i have to get by somehow.
